You know it's bad when I'm giving it away. I got a Jenny Lind bed at an estate sale a couple weeks ago that I shouldn't have even purchased. I wasn't going to. But on my third trip back to this particular estate sale (I forgot the drawers to a dresser and didn't realize it until I got home!), I inquired about the price and it was too good to pass up. Except it wasn't. It's really dingy, has lots of cracks in it and it needs to be tightened up a bit. But I think it can be saved for someone who wants to put a good bit of time into it! I've since made a promise to myself to never purchase another Jenny Lind bed unless it's in pristine condition. All this talk of JL beds reminds that I have a photo to share of a Jenny Lind success story! These were the first ones I purchased. They were rehabbed by the purchaser and put to good in her kids' shared bedroom. They were not in bad shape for the most part. If I remember correctly they just didn't have the side bars so she did have some work into them but not as much as the one I'm giving away today. They turned out great!
