I've been chugging away at my sewing skills for the past few weeks. I'm more than a little obsessed. I had no idea it would take hold like it did. I figured I'd hate it and be frustrated by it. I'm not the most patient of people so you'd expect something like sewing that is detail-oriented to be not my bag. I thought all that accurate cutting and measuring would get the best of me. It's been the opposite though. I've learned to be patient and do things right the first time, rather than rushing to get to the sewing part only to jack it because I measured or cut poorly. I actually enjoy every step of it and seem to be developing a new rhythm to my week that I like quite a bit.
As you might guess, a lady can only make so many things for herself before she has a house full of pillows that she doesn't have use for, so I've decided to start selling a selection of them in the next few weeks! I've sold pillows in the past though I must say they weren't wildly popular. A couple of things will be different this go around: They'll be my very own handiwork (I hired someone to do them in the past) which I think I just made clear but just in case you didn't catch that, I'm making these myself. The fabric I've collected in the past year is a little more remarkable than some of what I was selling in the past so expect some more unique pieces with lots of color. And lastly, the price point will be lower. So basically everything about the arrangement is going to be better so please stay tuned. PS, there's a giveaway involved!
