I am really excited to get this new site launched and move on, but as always, it’s taking longer than I anticipated as most things do.  When the new site is launched, I will be doing regular blog updates as well.  The good news is that the site is fully designed and almost completely programmed.  The delay is on my end while I get my business license which should be shortly.  It’s much easier to get a business license for a business that doesn’t serve food so I’m hopeful it will be in just a couple weeks’ time.

If you have a valid gift certificate for meals, we are still redeeming them! Just send us an email requesting the week’s menu and we’ll get right back to you.

In early (hopefully!) March we will officially be open as Urban Tastes Home.  There will be a new website where you can purchase items for sale and the blog will get a much needed makeover.  The blog was never a focus (obviously) with the original Urban Tastes but as what I’m doing now is much more visual the plan is to have a nicer looking, more functional blog.

When the new site goes up, I’ll no longer be offering meals for purchase on the site.  However, you may still redeem any valid gift certificate you have.  There will be a section on the FAQ page that explains how to order.  Thanks for your patience during our slightly confused transition.

This is a really lovely dresser with new ceramic white pulls, a fresh coat of paint, (the color is a mocha-brown; more brown than it looks in this photo), wood casters and the bottom of the front legs have been unpainted for a modern look. Drawers work perfectly.

I’ve been working on this one forever…

This is a large buffet with lots of storage in a neutral brownish-mocha color. It would make a good starter piece for a dining room. Heavy distressing is usually not my thing, but it was beat up looking when I got it so continued the look with the paint rather than try to make it into something it’s not (and priced it accordingly as well!)….would be great if you have kids. There are two cabinets: one has a shelf and the other is missing (but is perfect for taller items that wouldn’t otherwise fit in the piece). Drawers and cabinets work well.
